7. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

PPC uses cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, understand visitor behaviour, improve performance, measure content and marketing effectiveness, and support advertising or remarketing activities where applicable.

These technologies may include Google Analytics, GoDaddy website tools, cookies, and connected social-media or advertising analytics or pixels associated with PPC’s website and marketing ecosystem.

You can manage certain cookie settings through your browser or through cookie and tracking preference tools made available on the website. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

8. Payments and Checkout

PPC uses GoDaddy commerce and checkout tools, Beacons, Stripe, and/or other integrated third-party payment methods or providers that may be made available at checkout. PPC does not directly store full payment card details.

Payment processors and commerce providers may collect, process, and store payment information according to their own privacy and security practices. Stripe may collect personal information, including transaction details, payment information, device information, browser information, IP address, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies. Stripe may use this information to provide payment services, prevent fraud, authenticate transactions, analyze service performance, and comply with legal obligations. Personal information processed by Stripe may be transferred to, stored, or processed outside Canada, including in the United States.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

PPC uses third-party systems and service providers to operate the business. Depending on how you interact with PPC, your information may be collected, processed, stored, or hosted through a combination of tools reasonably required to operate the website, communicate with users, deliver services, process purchases, store files, and maintain records.

Examples may include:

• GoDaddy for website hosting, website builder functions, commerce tools, and related website services

• Microsoft and Outlook for email and business communications

• Google services such as Google Forms, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Analytics, and associated cloud storage

• OneDrive and local business devices used for business files and records

• approved messaging or communication platforms used in connection with PPC’s client and prospect communications

• integrated payment providers or wallet services made available through PPC’s checkout tools

PPC does not sell personal information. PPC may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the business, complete transactions, deliver services, store or protect data, comply with the law, or protect PPC’s rights and security.

• Beacons for link-in-bio, digital product sales, landing page, and related creator-commerce tools

• Stripe for payment processing, fraud prevention, transaction support, and related payment services

10. Mobile Information and SMS Consent

PPC does not sell, rent, trade, or provide personal information to external organizations for their own marketing, promotional, or commercial purposes.

Mobile information, including telephone numbers, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS consent, mobile telephone numbers, and related opt-in records will not be sold, transferred, or provided to external organizations for their own purposes, even where an individual may otherwise consent to receiving communications.

PPC may provide limited personal information to contracted service providers solely where necessary to support PPC’s business operations and to perform services on PPC’s behalf. These providers may use the information only to perform the services requested by PPC and may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

PPC may also disclose information where required by law, lawful legal process, or a valid request from an authorized government or regulatory authority.

11. Session Recordings and Client Content

PPC records coaching sessions as part of service delivery. Recordings are stored through Google Meet and associated Google cloud storage. Access is restricted to PPC unless the client requests access or disclosure is otherwise required for a lawful business purpose or legal obligation.

Session recordings may be used for continuity of service, client support, internal review, and service improvement. PPC retains session recordings for three years after a client completes, graduates from, or otherwise ends the applicable service relationship unless a longer period is required by law or a shorter period is required by a specific written agreement.

Any use of session recordings, excerpts, client stories, testimonials, social proof, educational examples, service-improvement material, or marketing-related content beyond internal service delivery will follow the level of consent the client has provided to PPC. Where PPC states that personal details will be kept private, PPC will take reasonable steps to remove or limit identifying details in line with the consent provided.

12. Storage, Security, and Access Controls

PPC stores personal information across a mix of systems actually used to operate the business, which may include website tools, email systems, cloud storage, business devices, forms, meeting platforms, and internal files.

PPC maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, alteration, copying, sharing, loss, or destruction of personal information.

These safeguards may include access controls, password-protected systems, account-security features, secure third-party platforms, restricted access to business records, and limiting access to personal information to what is reasonably required for PPC’s business operations.

PPC periodically reviews its information-handling practices and takes reasonable steps to address identified security risks

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. PPC does not guarantee absolute security, but takes reasonable steps to protect information under its control.

13. Retention of Personal Information

PPC keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and for as long as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, contractual, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping obligations.

Current PPC retention approach includes:

• general inquiries and contact form submissions: up to 24 months

• abandoned, declined, or non-enrolled applications: up to 24 months

• active client records: for the duration of the client relationship

• completed client records, invoices, and related business records: generally 6 years after completion or longer where required by law

• newsletter and email communication records: until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or PPC no longer reasonably requires the information

• session recordings: 3 years after the end of the client relationship unless a different legal or contractual requirement applies

When information is no longer reasonably required, PPC may delete it, anonymize it, or securely destroy it where practicable.

14. Cross-Border Storage and Processing

PPC is based in Alberta, Canada, but PPC’s third-party providers may store or process personal information outside Alberta or outside Canada. This means your information may be accessed, stored, or processed in other jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in Alberta or Canada.

By using the website or providing information to PPC, you understand that cross-border storage and processing may occur where reasonably necessary to operate PPC’s website, communications, files, analytics, and service-delivery systems.

15. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information PPC holds about you and request correction of inaccurate personal information. You may also withdraw consent in some situations, unsubscribe from marketing communications, or contact PPC with privacy questions or complaints.

PPC may need to verify your identity before responding to a privacy request. PPC may also retain certain information where required or permitted by law, by contract, or for legitimate recordkeeping, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Privacy requests may be sent to the Privacy Officer at privacy@petleypc.com or by mail to 111 25 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S 3G4, Canada.

16. Minors

PPC’s website, offers, and services are intended for adults 18 years of age and older. The website is not directed to children or to individuals under 18 for enrollment in PPC services.

PPC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for coaching or program enrollment. If PPC becomes aware that personal information has been submitted by or for a minor in a way that should not have occurred, PPC may delete the information or take other appropriate steps.
